Church Leaders Vicar: Rev John Musson
Reader: Mrs Helen Musson Churchwardens: St Peter's Lynchmere Michael Tibbs Michael's father was a Naval Chaplain before becoming Vicar of Lynchmere in 1932; he died in office in 1957. So, Michael was brought up in the Christian faith from a very early age. In Lynchmere he has been concerned with the parish youth organisations and has been an active member of the PCC for over 50 years. He sees his role as encouraging others to support the church and its activities. Since retirement he's been Chair of the Parish Council and the Lynchmere Society. Paul Bailey Paul lives in Camelsdale, and was the youngest Churchwarden in Sussex when he began. He's currently undergoing training to be a Reader in the Church of England.
Like Michael he's been heavily involved in the Lynchmereans' productions, but he also runs his own small theatre company. He also enjoys playing ‘God Save the Queen’ while standing on his head. St Peter's Camelsdale Peter May Peter has been Churchwarden at St. Paul's Church, Camelsdale since April 2004 (4.5 years - 2.5 years to go!).
Born in Hillside Road in 1936, he has lived all his life in the village or just over the border in Surrey. He attended Camelsdale School and was fortunate to pass the 11 plus examination and went to Midhurst Grammar. He and his wife, Pamela, were married by Rev. Campbell at St. Paul's in 1962 and subsequently their two daughters were baptised, and Zena was confirmed, in the church (he says his wife regularly and himself less oten until he became churchwarden).
He describes himself as a practical, practising Christian and has always, he believes, contributed to the welfare and well-being of the local community over the years, having been a Scout Leader with the 1st Camelsdale Scout Group, a governor at Camelsdale First School, a Parish Councillor at Fernhurst Parish Council and, more recently, at Lynchmere Parish Council, a member of the Care in Haslemere Executive Committee and Minibus Organiser, a leader with the Haslemere Gateway Club and several other clubs and activities.
